General Rental Information

  • In Virginia, you must be at least 16 years of age to operate a personal watercraft (PWC). There is no minimum age to operate a motorboat. However, all operators of PWCs and motorboats with at least 10 HP must successfully complete a boating safety course.

  • You must be at least 18 years of age, successfully completed the VA boating safety course (online, here), or have your boating license to operate a boat. You must have certificate of completion or license on person.

    Jet Ski operators must be at least 16 years of age and successfully completed the personal watercraft safety course here.

  • Reservations can be made online through this website or by phone: 434-320-3317. It’s recommended to book in advance, especially during peak seasons.

Pricing and Fees

  • The rental price includes the boat or jet ski, life jackets, and on board safety equipment. Additional fees apply for equipment rentals (e.g., water skis, tubes) and fuel used during your rental.

  • There is a refundable $500 deposit for boats and a refundable $200 deposit for jet skis. The full amount of your deposit will be refunded so long as you cancel within the 14 day window, there is no damage to the PWC, and the vessel is returned with a full tank of fuel. If fuel is required to fill tank after return of vessel, deposit will be refunded less the amount of fuel charged at $10/gallon.

  • If you return the vessel after the 15-minute grace period, you will be charged $100. Additionally, you will be charged $150 for each hour after 7:00 pm. This amount will be deducted from the initial deposit. Please call 434-320-3317 if you may be late returning to dock. 

  • If you arrive two hours after your scheduled pickup time, the entire deposit amount will be forfeited, unless there has been an unforeseen circumstance that warrants an exception on a case-by-case basis. Please call 434-320-3317 if you may be running late for pick up. 

Safety and Regulations

  • Rentals come with life jackets, fire extinguishers, and first aid kits. It’s essential to ensure that all safety equipment is present and in good condition before departure.

  • Familiarize yourself with the emergency procedures outlined in boaters safety course. Always have a means of communication (like a cell phone) and know your location on the water.

Usage and Restrictions

  • You must stay within designated areas specified by Lake Anna regulations. Some areas of the lake impose restrictions on speed limits and no-wake zones.

  • Pets are allowed with a $50 non-refundable deposit per pet.

Return Policy

  • Ensure the PWC is clean and refueled. All trash must be removed. Rentals should be returned in condition received.

  • Cancellations are allowed up to 14 days of your reservation. If you need to cancel within 13 days-48 hours you will be refunded half of the deposit. Cancellations made within 48 hours will forfeit all deposits.

  • Closures/cancellations due to severe weather related events will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

Additional Tips

  • Recommended items include sunscreen, towels, snacks/drinks, appropriate clothing, your driver’s license, and your certificate/boater’s license. Consider bringing a cooler for food and beverages.

  • Yes, however prior experience is often beneficial. If unsure, we will offer a brief operating overview.
